KISS’ Gene Simmons Hospitalized After Malibu Collision

Gene Simmons took to social media yesterday to thanks fans for the “kind wishes” following his car crash. The KISS frontman reportedly collided with a parked vehicle in Malibu on Tuesday. He was taken to hospital following the incident, which he described as a “fender bender.”

Gene Simmons’ wife Shannon Tweed updates on how he’s currently doing after crash

Gene allegedly fainted behind the wheel on October 7 while driving on the Pacific Coast Highway. NBC4 Los Angeles reported that the rock legend had hit a parked car after his SUV had careened across several traffic lanes.

Thankfully, there were no serious injuries as a result of the crash. Gene was rushed to hospital following the collision, but is now thought to be recovering at home.

The rocker took to X on Wednesday to thanks fans for their support. He also made light of the incident, joking that he is a “horrible driver”. He wrote: “Thanks, everybody, for the kind wishes. I’m completely fine. I had a slight fender bender. It happens. Especially to those of us were horrible drivers. And that’s me. All is well.”

Gene’s wife, Shannon Tweed, told NBC4 that the musician had recently had his medication changed. She added he needs to drink more water, which he’s “not a fan” of.

The timing isn’t great. The crash comes right before KISS is set to hit the stage again for the first time since their 2023 tour farewell. The band is reuniting in Vegas this November for KISS Army Storms Vegas, celebrating 50 years together.

The musician and reality TV star previously tempered fans’ expectations for the shows. He told 94.3 The Shark radio that “It ain’t a concert”, adding “will not do the makeup … There’s no stage show. There’s no crew. We won’t have 60 people levitating drum sets and all that stuff. This is more personal gathering of the tribes, where we meet them, greet them, maybe have a Q&A.”
