Mayci Neeley stays out of the drama on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. And now, her new book, Told You So, will shed further light on her disengaging ways.
Mayci has already explained that her past hurts still weigh heavily on her life. At 19, she learned that she was expecting. However, her parents pulled her away from the baby’s father, her then-boyfriend, Arik Mack. Then, Mayci learned that Arik had cheated on her.
She and Arik engaged in a heated text exchange. Shortly after, Arik passed away in a car accident that occurred while he was texting her, asking her for forgiveness. Now, Mayci moves differently, as her book will further detail.
Mayci Neely speaks about some hard lessons she learned

Back for Season 3 of Mormon Wives, the now-married Mayci is pregnant with her third child. Her new book also dropped this week. Therefore, Mayci has many things going well in her life. Regardless, in a recent interview with Decider, she admitted that her background is to blame for her present drama-free narratives.
“I have been through a lot, and I think because of that, I don’t like having beef with anyone,” she said. “I don’t like leaving things on a bad note because I know how precious and fragile life is, and how soon it could be gone.” So, Mayci hopes that everyone gets her peaceful stance after reading her book, “because I do get a lot of people not understanding [me].”
As for her neutral showings, Mayci thinks “it’s just the way that I am from the past. I hope [the readers] can take that away, but also get to know me a little bit better and my background,” which includes “the deeper side to me.”
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is available to stream on Hulu.
