Ryan Reynolds Says Son Olin Would Put Him off Having More Kids

After first having three little girls together, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively finally welcomed a son, Olin. But apparently, they were in for something of a shock. Following three sweet little girls, the boy energy was a little “jarring.”

The Dead Pool actor and his wife share four children together: James, 10; Inez, 9; Betty, 6; and Olin, 2. I’m sure the couple love them all as equally, but little Olin seems to need more attention than his sisters.

In fact, Ryan confessed to Seth Meyers that he “would never” have had four children were Olin born first.

Ryan Reynolds joked he and Blake Lively’s son Olin would have had him question having more children

“[Olin] came out with three things on his mind,” the Marvel star quipped. “It was violence, breasts, and engines.”

Compared to their son who just wants to “break everything,” Ryan claims his girls were “just so easy.” He added that he would have given himself a “punching vasectomy” if Olin had been born first. It’s unthinkable that he and Blake might have had “three boys at first.”

When Seth asked if Ryan’s three daughters feel like their little brother is “an HR issue,” he replied, “I do.” Furthermore, he feels like he’s “in direct competition with this young man.”

As the mother of a son, I can attest that Mommy is often a little boy’s first love. My then-3-year-old once scolded my husband, “You and Mommy don’t kiss to each other. Only me and Mommy!”

Blake knows exactly what I’m talking about. “When I walk in, he goes, ‘Mama, my love!’” the Gossip Girl alum told Seth earlier this year. “He just, like, announces that I’m the love of his life at all times, which is just the best feeling in the world.”
