Rumors that Katy Perry is dating Justin Trudeau have been swirling since the summer. The speculation was seemingly confirmed when the pair were snapped kissing on a yacht last week. The singer hasn’t commented on the romance – until now. At a concert on Monday, she made a couple of thinly veiled references to her new squeeze.
Katy Perry addressed her Justin Trudeau romance with a subtle comment during a London concert
Photos of the “Unconditional” singer kissing ex-Canadian Prime Minister Justin in Santa Barbara surfaced last week. At her concert in London on October 13, she seemed to address the new relationship.
After a fan in the audience asked her to marry them, Katy replied: “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago,” reports the Daily Mail.
She made another telling comment a bit later. She said she was impressed with the crowd’s passion, saying: “London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school? No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time.”
She then added: “But not anymore.”
Katy’s comments mark the first time she’s spoken about the rumored relationship. She and Justin were first romantically linked after being spotted looking cozy at a restaurant in Montreal during her tour of Canada.
The singer and part-time astronaut separated from Orlando Bloom in June this year. The pair were engaged and have a five-year-old daughter together. The actor seemed to throw a bit of shade Katy’s way when he added clapping emojis on a joke post stating he’d been wining and dining retired German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
However, during a September appearance on Today with Craig Melvin, Orlando insisted that “it’s nothing but love” between them. He added: “I’m great, man. I’m so grateful. We have the most beautiful daughter. … And we’re great. We’re going to be great.
