Logan Paul Death Hoax Spreads Following Helicopter Crash

A viral social media post has ignited widespread confusion following reports of a fatal helicopter crash in Los Angeles. The latest rumor falsely claims that YouTuber-turned-WWE star Logan Paul was among the victims, sparking frantic online reactions before being swiftly debunked by credible sources.

No, Logan Paul was not involved in helicopter crash

False claims about Logan Paul’s death circulated on Facebook, alleging the YouTuber-turned-WWE star died in a helicopter crash.

Pages such as VAR South Africa and Man City Lover Forever shared a black-and-white image of Paul, claiming his death was “recorded live by a bystander.” The posts linked to unreliable articles that lacked evidence or verification.

Authorities confirmed that while a helicopter did crash in Huntington Beach, California, on Saturday, October 11, Logan Paul was not involved. According to The Guardian, the accident injured five people, including the pilot and three bystanders. The Huntington Beach Fire Department did not list Paul among the victims, and no credible media outlets reported his name in connection with the crash. (via Primetimer)

This is not the first time Logan Paul’s name has appeared in a fake death report. Similar hoaxes have previously linked the Prime Hydration co-founder to fabricated accidents.

The rumor appears to have exploited real news coverage of the California helicopter crash. Witnesses recorded footage of the aircraft spinning before impact, but none of the videos featured Paul. Authorities later confirmed that the two people inside the helicopter were rescued and hospitalized.

While the social media claims are false, Paul has previously spoken about a real-life childhood accident. At age 12, he fractured his skull after misjudging a trampoline stunt at home. His father, Gregory Paul, told In Depth With Graham Bensinger in 2024, “We had to life flight him.” Paul revealed that doctors inserted a titanium plate in his skull, adding that he still has it today. His mother, Pam Stepnick, described the event as “a horrible time.”
