Britney Spears posts cryptic note on Instagram after her ex’s book release
Britney Spears recently shared a message on Instagram on October 14, after an excerpt from her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” was published. The book will be released on October 21.
She posted a picture of a seabed and wrote a lengthy message about it, mentioning, “There is so much we still don’t know or have yet to discover, that’s how vast and beautiful Mother Nature is!!!”
The star then mentioned honouring the family, saying, “honor thy mother and father, but always protect your heart.” The “Toxic” singer even suggested her fans to “find a new family” if their family don’t “sacredly” honor them.
The former couple were married from 2004 to 2007. They even endured a messy custody battle over their sons, Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline. Hours before the post, Federline made headlines for mentioning an incident between her and their sons in the book. As per E! News, the 47-year-old actor showed concern for the singer’s behavior and how he feared for their two sons.
“They would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep — ‘Oh, you’re awake?’ — with a knife in her hand,” he wrote as per The New York Times. “Then she’d turn around and pad off without explanation.”
However, Spears’ rep has denied the allegation. They said, “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her, and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin.”
As per the rep, the 43-year-old pop icon “cares” about her children and “their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir [The Woman in Me].”
