Charli XCX recently opened up about beauty, self-image, and her thoughts on cosmetic surgery. In a new interview for Vanity Fair, the 33-year-old songwriter revealed that she frequently contemplates changes she could make to her face, but she also tries to remind herself not to get consumed by those thoughts.
Charli XCX gets honest about getting plastic surgery
In her latest Vanity Fair interview, Charli XCX got candid about a host of things, including cosmetic surgery. “I’m always thinking about how I look and what I would change about my face,” she admitted. “I’m f****** thinking about all the s*** that I could do and pull and stretch and morph on my face, all the time. I have to just remind myself that maybe I can’t get too sucked into that.”
Charli explained that she once experimented with Botox but stopped using it after realizing it affected her acting performances. “I did a couple of audition tapes where I had Botox, and my eyebrows were doing that crazy thing when they kind of lift,” she said.
The “Brat” sensationalist revealed that she often browses the cosmetic treatment website RealSelf, researching various procedures, including a possible mid-facelift. As per PEOPLE, that curiosity once led her to the page of cosmetic injector Molly Bailey, who had speculated that Charli may have had an eyebrow lift, lip filler, Botox, and rhinoplasty. Instead of being offended, Charli responded playfully, writing, “Omg I’m obsessed [with] this s***.”
The singer is also embracing a new chapter in her personal life. The Grammy-winning artist recently married George Daniels, drummer and producer for The 1975. The pair celebrated with a star-studded wedding in Italy, just two months after a private ceremony in London.
“It’s cool to be married,” Charli told Vanity Fair. “I never really saw it for myself, to be honest.” The publication also revealed that the artist received her Vivienne Westwood bridal gown just five days before her London wedding.
