A Canadian source confides in PEOPLE that the “Roar” singer and the former Prime Minister are “quite taken with each other” for now. The source added, “In addition to the attraction, they are both smart and love to talk about serious issues.”
The source explains that the couple is taking it slow owing to their career commitments and long-distance woes. Although they maintained contact this summer, the pair haven’t spent time together due to their busy schedules.
Perry is busy with her Lifetimes Tour, and Trudeau also has family obligations. However, “they have interests in common. Both are taking dating as it comes. But they are definitely into each other — and have been,” the source quips.
