Katy Perry made a cheeky comment about romance rumors with Justin Trudeau. Perry was surprised to receive a marriage proposal from a fan. The 40-year-old singer wittily replied, “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago” (via Daily Mail).
For those unversed, Daily Mail had shared pictures of Perry and Trudeau aboard a yacht. The much-in-love couple kissed and embraced each other in the new PDA-filled photos. It seems like Perry has indirectly confirmed her romance rumors with the former Canadian prime minister.
Furthermore, the “Hot N Cold” singer remarked at the concert, “London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school? No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time.”
However, she immediately made a second statement fueling romance rumors with Trudeau. Katy quipped, “But not anymore.” Trudeau and Perry were first linked in July 2025 when he attended her concert in Montreal.
The couple later dined at Le Violon restaurant in Montreal (via TMZ). Perry’s dinner date photos with Trudeau surfaced a month after she ended her engagement to Orlando Bloom. Perry and Trudeau have reportedly been going steady since, but neither party has spoken about their alleged romance.
