The Irwins are leaving the Australian wildlife behind in exchange for the limelight of Los Angeles.
Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin and sister of zookeeper and actor Robert Irwin, is seeking a career change. It’s a decision that was filled with emotions, given she grew up in Australia, while the Irwin name is synonymous with danger.
Bindi’s father was famous for his encounters with dangerous wildlife, dying from a stingray bite in 2006. Robert, meanwhile, also worked as a zookeeper and was a wildlife photographer.
The two siblings starred in the show Crikey! It’s the Irwins which followed their life in the Australia Zoo alongside their mother, Terri. It ran from 2018 to 2022.
Bindi Irwin is leaving Australia Zoo behind for a move to Los Angeles

Saying goodbye to her previous life was not easy for Bindi, but she isn’t the only one moving from the Australia Zoo to Los Angeles. “The whole family decided to make the move,” an insider told RadarOnline.com. “It wasn’t an easy decision.”
Bindi says the Australia Zoo will always be home, adding they are in LA to support Robert, who is competing on Dancing with the Stars. He has dazzled the judges so alongside partner Witney Carson.
The family’s support for his tapings has been evident and is adding a little extra fuel to his strong performances. Robert’s support system during the show’s run includes Terri, along with Bindi, her husband Chandler Powell and their daughter Grace. Having his sister in the audience evidently strikes a chord with Robert, who got very emotional, hugging Bindi after dancing the jive last month.
Robert has a lot to live up to on this show. Back in November 2015, Bindi and Derek Hough won the 21st season of Dancing with the Stars. The pair had a record eight perfect scores en route to capturing the Mirrorball Trophy. That record was broken in season 25 by Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold.
