Travis Kelce Has a New Nickname After Taylor Swift’s Song About His ‘Manhood’

Taylor Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, has a new nickname, and Bill Simmons isn’t afraid to tell it to the world. Many fans think that the singer’s new album, called ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ features a song that she has made with him in her mind. Everyone is now teasing the Kansas City Chiefs, including his brother Jason Kelce.

Bill Simmons reveals Travis Kelce’s new nickname

Bill Simmons, host of The Bill Simmons Podcast, revealed Travis Kelce’s nickname to be ‘Wood’ after Taylor Swift’s new song. On his podcast on Monday, Simmons joked that everyone should now call Kelce by his new moniker. He explained,

“It’s a little bit of a deep cut on the Taylor Swift album. But it was a very controversial song on the album called ‘Wood,’ which people thought was about Travis Kelce’s healthy manhood.” (via Bill Simmons podcast)

Adding, he said, “We were just calling him Wood the whole game. And it was very enjoyable. It’s like, ‘[Patrick] Mahomes, get it to Wood!’ This clearly should be his nickname. She wrote this whole gushing love song about his sexual prowess. He should just be Travis ‘Wood’ Kelce. ‘I mean, you see why Taylor’s smiling. Wood’s just getting it done.’ Just call him Wood. It’s positive! Just praising him.” (via Bill Simmons podcast)

The song in question is the ninth track on Taylor Swift’s new album and is called ‘… Wood.’ Evidently, it is understandable why fans and friends would assume that it is about Travis Kelce’s manhood. Moreover, the lyrics read,

“Seems to be that you and me, we make our own luck / New heights of manhood … Redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see / His love was the key that opened my thighs.”

During the New Heights podcasted hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce, the brothers joked about how it could be insinuated that the song is about the latter’s manhood. Jason compared it to the ‘redwood tree,’ which is often associated with generosity and how big it is. Lastly, Jason said,

“I think if someone wrote a song about me, it would be like a Japanese maple. That song’s great, though. The beat to that song is fantastic. That’s right up my alley, so well done. I think it’s a great song.” (via New Heights podcast)
