Though Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew Aesha Scott worried about her inexperienced interior crew, they surprised her. In Below Deck Med Season 10, Episode 4, an exacting primary guest returned to the boat, and Aesha was concerned that her green team could embarrass her.
But she need not have worried, because her girls were learning fast. Especially impressing her was Victoria “V” SanJuan, who quickly became an asset to the team, despite her previous lack of experience.
In a confessional, Aesha tells production. “I feel like this is a backhanded compliment,” she says, “but I’m actually surprised how quickly V has been learning.”
Aesha Scott spoke to a producer during Below Deck Mediterranean
When Aesha learned that Below Deck Down Under Season 2 guest Jack Freeman was returning, she knew he would be demanding. “Upon arrival, Jack would like the stews to unpack for him,” Aesha cautioned Kizzi Kitchener and V in Episode 3.
In fact, as soon as he came on board, Jack warned the chief stew, “I’ve brought a lot.” He wasn’t kidding. Jack’s been traveling around Europe with seven suitcases of clothing, including 40 pairs of shoes. But her interior crew was up to the challenge.
In a flashback, producers reminded us that V’s table decorations have been “perfect.” At the time, Aesha told her happily, “This actually makes me so proud.”
Additionally, not only has V “finally mastered how to put a duvet on,” but Aesha discovered her packing for a guest ahead of schedule. “[The guest] started packing her own [suitcase],” V tells her boss. “I was like, ‘Yeah, it’s already done — like, I got it, girl!’”
While the deck team strugged, the interior team came together a lot faster than Aesha had hoped. She was very pleased by how quickly they picked up the routine, especially V.
Furthermore, in her confessional, Aesha tells producers that V’s improvement is so good, she might be a robot in disguise. “If V was AI, I’d be a little bit concerned about how quickly she is progressing. Is it ChatGPT, or Chat GP-V?” Aesha jokes as she and producers chuckle.
“Oh, God, that was terrible,” she adds, breaking the fourth wall.
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 airs Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo and streams on Peacock.
