North West wants Kim Kardashian to be remarried
Kim Kardashian shared new details about her past marriage to Kanye West and her current outlook on relationships during her Call Her Daddy podcast debut on October 15.
The 44-year-old SKIMS founder discussed her “toxic” marriage to West. She explained that she often remembered “only the good” and described herself as “a really forgiving person.” Kardashian said, “It makes it really hard to continue on in a relationship that can be toxic.” She added that she stayed longer because of her children and West’s mental health struggles.
She revealed that her marriage became unsafe “emotionally or even, you know, financially.” Kardashian recalled incidents where “we had like five Lamborghinis” during the episode. West previously shared that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2018 after a psychiatric hospitalization in 2016. Kardashian said she ended the marriage to “save myself in order to be a better mom for everyone.” She emphasized that leaving became necessary once her “mental health starts to get affected.”
The reality star said she wanted to set a positive example for her children — North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6. Kardashian revealed that her eldest, North, has encouraged her to move on romantically. “You’ve got to get remarried. You’re getting too old, and no one is gonna deal with this,” North told her. “She says it to me all the time,” Kardashian added.
Reflecting on her decade-long relationship, Kardashian said, “An over a decade relationship with four beautiful children is not a failure.” Her divorce from West was finalized in November 2022. Since then, she has focused on co-parenting and upcoming projects, including the new season of The Kardashians and her legal drama All’s Fair, premiering November 4 on Hulu.
