The SKIMS founder recently appeared on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast. During her guest appearance, she discussed her professional life, her co-parenting relationship with Kanye West, and her current dating life.
Kim Kardashian also looked back on her relationship with Pete Davidson, after Cooper asked her about the “Pete music video.” This is a reference to West’s “Eazy” MV, where he can be seen burying alive an animated version of the actor-comedian.
Moreover, the song’s lyrics include an insult from West to Davidson, where the former says, “God saved me from that crash just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a**.” Furthermore, the message at the end of the music video mentioned West’s nickname for Davidson, “Skete.” The text read, “EVERYONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER / EXCEPT SKETE YOU KNOW WHO / JK HE’S FINE.”
“That made me feel really sad,” Kardashian said of the “Eazy” music video mocking Davidson. “That really wasn’t fair for him.” She added that she felt sorry for The Pickup actor, calling him a “great man.” Furthermore, the reality TV star recalled how he told her not to worry, as he was unfazed by the song. “Or at least acted that way,” she added.
The American Horror Story: Delicate actress remarked that it must have been embarrassing for Davidson to be in that situation. She added that because of West’s song, she became guarded around potential dating partners lest they fall into a similar situation. “So it’s easier if I just, maybe stay away,” she further stated. “But I can’t live my life like that either.”
Previously, PEOPLE reported, citing a source, that Kim Kardashian was “furious” with Kanye West for making the song. “She thinks it’s way too violent and is upset,” the source added. “She’s really upset with Kanye that he’d do this. She’s completely over all of this and she wants it to stop.”
