For years, Leonardo DiCaprio has been dubbed an eternal bachelor with a “Peter Pan” reputation. But reportedly, even his mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, is now asking him to change for the better.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s mother pleaded with him for a reason
RadarOnline.com has reported that the 50-year-old Oscar-winning star was left “mortified” after Spanish police failed to recognize him at a celebrity-filled party hosted by Spanish actor and singer Aron Piper. The Ibiza event, which drew big names like Kendall Jenner and Tobey Maguire, took a turn when officers allegedly stopped Leonardo DiCaprio at the entrance, demanded identification, and asked him to empty his pockets.
The outlet’s source described the moment as “embarrassing beyond belief.” The insider added, “Leo was furious but tried to play it cool. He’s accustomed to being treated like royalty, not searched like some teenager.” The incident reportedly made him realize how “absurd” it looked that “a 50-year-old still acting like he’s in his twenties.”
It seems the incident didn’t go unnoticed by his family. Irmelin Indenbirken, DiCaprio’s mother, has reportedly implored her son to leave his wild ways behind. “Irmelin has pleaded with him to stop behaving like a teenager,” a family insider said. While she admires his accomplishments, she is concerned about the company he is in. “It pains her to see him surrounded by shallow friends. What she really wants is for him to build genuine connections and find some stability.”
Those closest to Leonardo DiCaprio say the incident has prompted reflection on his lifestyle. His girlfriend, Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, has played a major role in influencing him. “Vittoria’s down-to-earth, level-headed, and focused on her own career. She couldn’t care less about the yachts or the VIP treatment. It’s been a breath of fresh air for Leo – and a huge comfort to his family,” the source revealed. On the professional front, DiCaprio has made box office hits by featuring in the action-comedy thriller One Battle After Another.
