On October 14, the pubic hair underwear was launched and all the items were sold out within a day. However, there’s a sigh of relief for those who couldn’t place an order. The products are on a waitlist, which means there will be more available soon.
The product has been created in 12 shades, including Clay Blonde Straight, Clay Ginger Straight, Sienna Brown Curly, Cocoa Blonde Straight, and many more. Meanwhile, the description explains, “Handmade in a super sheer, stretch mesh, this string thong features a mix of curly and straight faux hair.”
Aside from the site, SKIMS also promoted the thongs on their Instagram handle. The post consisted of a commercial, which insisted on why anyone would need this product. In the caption, the item was called “The Ultimate Bush.” It also read, “With our daring new Faux Hair Panty, your carpet can be whatever color you want it to be.”
Furthermore, the video gives a 1970s vibe, showing a grainy clip of a male host introducing a game show. Titled “Does the Carpet Match the Drapes?,” the contest slyly highlights the merkins inner garments. Viewers seemed to have found the product amusing.
Since the upload, the post has garnered over 29K likes. Later, Kardashian also promoted her brand’s new launch on her Instagram story.
