Steven McBee’s Sentencing Sees McBee Dynasty Season 3 Start Filming

Viewers of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys can expect more family farm drama and legal fallout. The Bravo hit follows Missouri rancher Steve McBee Sr. and his sons as they juggle love, legacy, and the chaos of running McBee Farming Operations. Between business disputes and jaw-dropping family fights, the McBees have become one of reality TV’s most unpredictable families.

Now, the drama is spilling beyond the ranch. With cameras ready to roll again, the family faces one of its biggest challenges yet. Steve Sr.’s legal issues are about to come to a head.

McBee Dynasty Season 3 filming starts this week as Steven McBee Sr. is sentenced for fraud

According to Variety, Bravo has renewed The McBee Dynasty for a third season. And, filming begins this week as Steve Sr. faces sentencing in federal court. However, the timing couldn’t be more dramatic, with the show expected to capture how the family handles the fallout.

In November 2024, Steve Sr. pleaded guilty to what prosecutors called a “multi million dollar fraud scheme involving federal crop insurance benefits he was not entitled to receive.” The Department of Justice says he falsified crop reports between 2018 and 2020 and collected money the family wasn’t eligible for. Prosecutors asked a federal judge to sentence him to 41 months in prison, followed by supervised release. They also requested he repay more than four million dollars in restitution.

The scandal has already shaken the family business. Reports say the McBee family farm fell behind on a 1.3 million dollar loan right before Steve Sr.’s sentencing. At the same time, Steve Jr. has discussed how the family is holding up through an ongoing FBI investigation and their uncertain future.

Season 2 shifted the spotlight to Steve Jr., Jesse, and Cole McBee as they tried to keep the business afloat. Even without their dad leading the show, ratings soared. The season pulled in about 1.3 million weekly viewers across platforms. It also boasted big jumps in both DVR and streaming numbers compared to Season 1.

Next, Season 3 is expected to follow the family through the aftermath of Steve Sr.’s sentencing, their financial challenges, and what comes next for the ranch. Meanwhile, with the cameras back in Gallatin, fans can probably count on more emotional moments, growing family tension, and a few surprises that only the McBees could deliver.

You can stream Seasons 1 and 2 of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys on Peacock.
