Tom Cruise has reportedly split from his short relationship with actress Ana de Armas. According to The Sun, Cruise and de Armas decided to end their relationship. The duo realised they are better off as friends than a couple.
A source close to the actors revealed, “Tom and Ana had a good time together, but their time as a couple has run its course. They are going to remain good friends, but they aren’t dating anymore.”
The couple reportedly realised they wouldn’t be taking their relationship to the next level. Hence, they decided to call it quits in an amicable manner. “They just realised they weren’t going to go the distance and that they are better off as mates,” the source shared.
Furthermore, the insider revealed that “the spark had gone between them.” However, “they still love each other’s company, and they’ve both been really adult about it.”
Cruise and de Armas’s personal relationship reportedly has no impact on their professional lives, as the duo will reunite for a new film. Previously, The Sun reported that de Armas was cast in Cruise’s next film, tentatively titled Pressure.
A source revealed that the 62-year-old megastar had personally cast de Armas in the movie, as he has “huge respect for her as an actress.”
In May this year, de Armas gushed about Cruise in an interview with Good Morning America. At the time, de Armas shared, “It’s so much fun. We’re definitely working on a lot of things — not just one, but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom. And I’m so excited.”
Notably, Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas also had plans to move to the UK together. According to Radar Online, the Mission: Impossible star had plans to buy a beautiful estate in Britain’s posh Cotswolds, where he planned to move in with de Armas.
