Kim Kardashian recently opened up about Kanye West‘s influence on her dating life following their divorce. In an interview, the SKIMS founder emphasized how potential romantic partners distanced themselves from her due to her previous marriage to West, who has exhibited a difficult personality that prospective partners didn’t want to deal with.

The American Horror Story: Delicate actress sat down for a conversation with Alex Cooper on the latter’s Call Her Daddy podcast. In the interview, the 44-year-old opened up about her former marriage to West and how the latter influenced her future dating prospects, despite the termination of their marriage.
Kim Kardashian revealed that potential romantic suitors would avoid getting into an official relationship with her due to West’s presence.
“There [have] been situations where I’ll get maybe close to someone, then it’s like, ‘Wait, wait, wait, wait, I don’t really want to deal with your ex. And I don’t want to deal [with] if he’s gonna say something,'” Kardashian explained. “It has been a little frustrating, but then I [think], my person wouldn’t care about that, you know?”
However, Kardashian understood the suitors’ perspective, acknowledging that West’s presence was a big deal. “It’s not an easy thing. And I get that,” she added.
Moreover, Kardashian recalled an upsetting experience from her relationship with Pete Davidson, where the latter was distastefully referenced and depicted in West’s music video “Eazy”. Kardashian expressed sympathy for the comedian, adding that the experience informed her decision to stay guarded around other men vying for her affections. Further, she expressed her belief that her guarded approach towards other men would make things easier for herself and them. However, she acknowledged that she couldn’t live life like this either.
The model-businesswoman stressed that West’s presence in her dating life was a “non-issue” currently, adding that he wouldn’t say anything now. However, she acknowledged his unpredictability, saying, “You never know.”
