Sarah Ferguson is allegedly standing by her ex-husband, now former Prince Andrew, after both their royal titles have been stripped. Prince Andrew, 65, recently announced that he will be letting go of his titles. This includes the royal title of the Duke of York. As it happens, this comes in the midst of the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein scandal. As a result, Sarah Ferguson will also not be able to use her Duchess of York title any more. It appears that both, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, have lost the privilege of royal entitlement as of now.

An insider told Page Six that despite the incident, “Sarah will always stand by Andrew, she will always have love for him.” The source further added, “Sarah is relaxed. It’s always been a courtesy title.” However, Ferguson has continued to use the same title on the cover of all her books.
Prince Andrew stepped back from his royal duties. In a recent statement released by the Buckingham Palace, he said, “I have decided as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.” In 2022, he settled a twelve million dollar lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre. Giuffre accused him of sexual misconduct which he denied.
Ferguson, 66, has also been involved in the Epstein saga. She apologized to Jeffrey for her rejection of him. In 2011, she wrote him an email. It stated, “You have always been a steadfast, generous and supreme friend to me and my family.” She also admitted to have borrowed twenty thousand dollars from him. In the light of this revelation, several charities, including the Teenage Cancer trust, dropped her as a patron.
Despite the former couple’s dilemma and plight, their daughters remain unaffected by the decision. Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35, still have their royal titles. Buckingham palace has officially confirmed that Andrew will not be joining the rest of the family for their Christmas celebrations.
