You may think that celebs only use secretive, ultra-exclusive dating apps when they want to mingle. But according to Joe Jonas, he isn’t above using social media to find romance. In a recent interview, the singer revealed he’s met potential partners through social media.
Joe Jonas has dated people from Instagram and TikTok
Good news if you’re a Joe Jonas fan – he doesn’t have a problem with using social media to date. In a recent interview with Esquire, the Disney Channel alum spoke about his love life. He revealed that while he is dating, being on tour isn’t exactly conducive to romance.
He said: “Five shows in a row doesn’t make it easy to meet someone for coffee.” He added that he doesn’t use apps, but then clarified: “I guess Instagram and TikTok are apps, and I’ve met people that way.”
He didn’t say if it was other celebs or the general public he was replying too, though.
Joe is single and ready to mingle after his divorce from Sophie Turner. The pair split in September 2023, with their divorce finalized a year later. While the initial breakup and custody battle wasn’t exactly amicable, the exes have taken to co-parenting well. One source revealed earlier this year that their relationship is “better than ever”.
Sophie has since moved on with British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson. Joe was linked to Stormi Bree last year, but the romance seemingly only lasted a few months.
He hasn’t exactly struggled to date in the past, though. He previously had relationships with Gigi Hadid and Taylor Swift. He briefly spoke about the latter during the Esquire interview. In response to a question about her new album, he said: “I’ve heard some of it. I think she’s obviously the biggest artist out there, and I think it’s good. Everybody’s got an opinion about it, but from what I’ve heard, there are some catchy melodies.”
