Royal Expert Predicts Prince Andrew’s Future After Losing Royal Titles

The door to a potential return to royal life for Prince Andrew may be permanently closed.

That’s what one royal insider believes the future holds for the controversial brother of King Charles. Guilty by association appears to be part of the reason the Prince probably won’t be attending royal gatherings for a long time and maybe ever.

The second son of the late Queen Elizabeth II will be removing numerous royal titles from his name.

Prince Andrew’s announcement last week did not come as a big shock given the kind of headlines he’s been making. On October 17 he said he’d no longer use the title Duke of York. His titles of Earl on Inverness and Baron of Killyleagh are also gone. His past ties with the late disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein are the primary reason why.

Despite this Andrew will retain his title of Prince and likely his home at the royal lodge. According to royal expert Sharon Carpenter though, the loss of all his titles will have a long-term impact on the Prince.

Speaking to E! News Sharon calls this news the “nail in the coffin and closes the door permanently on any hopes he (Andrew) may have had to one day return to royal life.” She adds that it realistically ends any meaningful royal career he may have had.

King Charles had been under pressure from his son Prince William to exile Prince Andrew. For his part the Prince has said he stands by his decision to take a step back from royal life a few years ago.

His announcement to not have the Duke of York title came days before the posthumous release of a memoir by the late Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre. In the book she re-iterates allegation she had sex with Andrew when she was 17.

The Prince who denied any wrongdoing in the matter reached a settlement on the case in 2022.
