Ben Affleck Felt Jennifer Lopez’s Recent Comment Was ‘Insulting’ — Insiders

Ben Affleck is reportedly unhappy with Jennifer Lopez’s remark about her former lovers. In a recent interview with Howard Stern, the actress mused that she’s “never been truly loved,” opening up about her past relationships.

Ben Affleck felt Jennifer Lopez’s comments were insulting

During her recent appearance on the Howard Stern Show, Lopez had declared, “It’s not that I’m not lovable — it’s that they’re not capable.”

According to Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop, insider sources close to Ben Affleck have claimed that he is reportedly furious with the statement.

“Ben’s livid. He feels like she’s rewriting history. He gave her everything — love, stability, a second chance — and she’s out here saying no one ever loved her? It’s insulting,” the source revealed.

Additionally, a second insider claims, “Jennifer’s incapable of loving anyone but herself. She’s the star, and everyone else is background.”

However, a close friend of Lopez has supported her statements, saying, “She knew this would sting. But J.Lo’s not in the business of protecting feelings anymore. She’s telling her truth — even if it leaves a few broken hearts behind.”

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s romantic history has been dominating the headlines for years. The couple began their highly publicized relationship in mid-2002 and got engaged later that year. However, they parted ways in 2004, before reuniting in 2021.

The pair rekindled their relationship and tied the knot in July 2022. Two years later, the Kiss of the Spider Woman actress filed for divorce from Affleck, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was finalized in 2025.

Furthermore, the former couple reunited once again at the New York City premiere of her latest movie, Kiss of the Spider Woman. Affleck served as the film’s executive producer and supported Lopez in its creative process. The movie is a musical drama based on Manuel Puig’s 1976 novel of the same name. It stars Lopez alongside Diego Luna and Tonatiuh.
