Gayle King had a rather unexpected seatmate on a flight recently. The CBS Mornings host shared a snap of her sitting next to controversial Fox News personality Jesse Watters. In her post on social media, Gayle wrote she was saving Jesse’s number. Fans sounded off in the comments, saying the move was “not a good look.”

Gayle is seen as left-leaning by many fans. So her smiling photo with controversial conservative Jesse came as quite a shock to many. The Fox News host has repeatedly been accused of racism, sexism, and peddling misinformation.
The pair seemingly hit it off, though. Alongside the photo, Gayle captioned her Insta post: “Two TV people from competing networks walk on to a plane and to the surprise of them both, they’re seated right next to each other for over four hours. How did it go? Speaking for @jessewatters here: A good time was had by all! Hi, Jesse…saving your number!”
The post wasn’t exactly a hit with her fans, however. Many called her out in the comments for being so friendly to Jesse. One wrote: “This is really not cute at all,” while another added: “U still got time to delete this sis.”
One commenter added: “Rich people are so out of touch. That’s the only way to explain this.”
A fourth wrote: “I respect and love you, Gayle. Your seat mate, however, is harming our country,” while another added: “This is embarrassing for you.”
Another said: “Gayle, he’s a horrible anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian bigot. This isn’t a good look for you.”
It wasn’t all negative, though. Some commenters applauded Gayle’s newfound friendship.
One commenter added: “Yes. Let’s normalize GETTING ALONG.”
Another fan said: “I think it’s great!!! Two people had a great time together and didn’t put their political beliefs in front of a friendship or flight home! That’s the way it should be!”
