Justin Bieber Slammed After Latest Career Move: ‘Must Be Broke’

Things have been a bit up and down for Justin Bieber these past couple of years. The pop superstar took a creative break in 2023 as he worked on his mental and physical health. Now, he’s back and giving fans an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look into his life. And the reviews are somewhat mixed.

It’s understandably difficult being a mega-star. Justin has always had paparazzi on his tail, and every aspect of his life is shared in the media. From marriage troubles with Hailey Bieber to creative issues, he’s never out of the spotlight. This time, though, he’s turning the camera on himself.

Justin Bieber faced backlash after announcing his livestreaming career move

On October 22, Justin went live on Twitch for the first time. He revealed that he’s going to go live almost every day to show fans behind-the-scenes content. Justin recorded footage on his own and had someone following him around. He toured fans through a warehouse that had his album title, SWAG, emblazoned on the floor.

“We’re going to be doing this pretty much every day, so make sure you tune in,” Justin told his fans. ‘This is going to be awesome.”

During the live, he took viewers around and showed them what was happening backstage. “These are the guys backstage. Say hi! This is where all the stuff’s going down.”

Then he moved to the entertainment hub and showed people surrounded by laptops, soundboards, and other equipment. “You guys are killing it back here,” he said to the team. “This is where the real magic happens. Thank you guys for everything. Appreciate you.”

Some other footage showed Justin playing ping-pong, skateboarding, shooting hoops, and teasing some details about his upcoming Coachella performance, which he says is going to be a “h*ll of a show!” There was a lot of footage, but for now, his wife and their son Jack didn’t appear.

It should be fun for fans to get such an unobstructed view of his world, but reviews are mixed. One fan said, “He must be going broke,” while another joked, “Rent can’t be that high.” It seems a bit harsh to assume the father-of-one has money problems simply because he wants to stream.

Other fans though are thrilled at the content Justin is sharing. One shared that they can’t wait to see what he creates. Other fans have promised to tune in every day.
