Louis Tomlinson will ‘forever despise’ this YouTuber for controversial Liam Payne interview
Louis Tomlinson has made it clear that he will “forever despise” Logan Paul for his controversial Liam Payne interview. In an interview with The Independent, the ex-One Direction member spoke about his deceased bandmate and the realities of fame.
The “Lemonade” singer candidly discussed fame at an early age and the split of the band in 2016. Tomlinson blamed social media influencers masquerading as journalists for creating a rift between members.
He particularly took a jab at Logan Paul and his infamous interview with Liam Payne. In the interview, Payne took a dig at his bandmate Zayn Malik. Tomlinson remarked, “I f***ing forever despise [Logan Paul], horrible, horrible little f***er. I think that’s also the problem with some of this new “media”; I would like to think most journalists.”
Continuing with his previous comments, Tomlinson stated, “Some journalists have a duty of care.”
In his Logan Paul interview, Payne quipped, “There are many reasons why I dislike Zayn, and there are many reasons why I’ll always, always be on his side.”
After his comments went viral, Payne clarified via X that he didn’t respond as gracefully as he should have. Payne wrote, “I was saying that there will always be things we disagree on, but that I will always, always be on his side. That’s family. Zayn is my brother, and I will stand by him forever.” Payne had also revealed that he and Tomlinson did not like each other initially but eventually became “best friends.”
Furthermore, Tomlinson confessed that the One Direction members looked up to Payne as he was the most experienced of the lot. Tomlinson said, “He’d already played at halftime at Molineux, at a Wolverhampton Wanderers game, we’d done s****y school shows.”
Notably, Liam Payne passed away on October 16 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The remaining One Direction members attended Payne’s funeral in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, on November 20, 2024.
