Sabrina Carpenter showcased a new step for her song “Juno” at her October 26 concert in New York City. “Juno” is a B-side track from her 2024 album Short n Sweet. The song is about fantasizing about your partner. It is inspired by the titular character from the 2007 coming-of-age comedy-drama film “Juno.”
Sabrina Carpenter debuts new Juno position at recent concert
Sabrina Carpenter debuted a new hook step for her song “Juno” at her New York concert last weekend. The lyrics of the song are playful and raunchy, and Carpenter always showcases interesting dance steps that complement the song.
As per tradition, Carpenter marches to a heart-shaped platform at the end of her runway and performs an erotic dance step to the song “Juno.” During the New York set, the 26-year-old singer wore a sparkly blue outfit with a matching top and skirt, and high-heeled boots.
Carpenter ran toward the heart-shaped platform, lay down on her back, and turned over to face the audience. She then lay flat on her stomach as she raised her head in a provocative fashion and continued singing.
Fans seemed to love the new dance step for “Juno.” One fan wrote online in reaction, “OMG.” Another fan commented, “Alright ladies, let’s save something for the imagination.”
An interesting handcuff ritual precedes the “Juno” performance. Halfway through the concert, Carpenter announces she will be arresting one of the celebrity attendees using pink handcuffs. She converses with the star and proceeds to arrest them. Then she performs the song “Juno” in their honor.
So far, Carpenter has arrested “Stranger Things” stars Millie Bobby Brown and Joe Keery, K-pop girl group TWICE’s members Jihyo, Sana, and Momo, as well as Gigi Hadid and Anne Hathaway.
Previously, Sabrina Carpenter’s co-writer Amy Allen confirmed to US Weekly that the concept and execution of the song “Juno” were the singer’s idea.
Allen revealed, “I’m so grateful to have her as a collaborator for moments like that, because I think being a pop songwriter, like, five years ago, if somebody had come in with that concept, that would’ve been like, ‘I’m not sure people will get that.’”
Continuing further, she said, “But because she’s so authentic and her artistry is so intact and she knows who she is, the second she started talking about her idea for that, I was like, ‘Oh, we’re doing this. It’s gonna be great, and it’s gonna be witty, and it’s gonna be heartfelt.’ She’s such a fearless leader with ideas like that.”
