Diddy Prison Release Date Revealed: Details

We now know exactly when Diddy will officially get to walk free.

The rapper is currently behind bars at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC). The disgraced mogul was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, sex trafficking and racketeering. Earlier this month, Diddy was sentenced to just over four years in prison.

In addition to his conviction, he’ll be subject to potentially as much as five years of supervision upon release. The man born Sean Combs must also pay a $500,000 fine.

We won’t be seeing Diddy outside the prison walls until 2028. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, he’s scheduled for release on May 8, 2028. While his four-year sentence was handed down in early October, his time previously served at MDC is counting toward the sentence.

While his lawyers wanted a 14-month sentence, his conviction may be a minor victory. That’s because the prosecution called for an 11-year sentence in September.

There is word that they want their client to move to a minimum security prison for the remainder of his jail time. In addition to the reduced sentence, lawyers pitched that Diddy get a supervised release with mandatory drug treatment, plus individual and group therapy.

They claim Diddy is living in terrible conditions since being in prison, under constant checks by security guards. Lawyers add that the rapper has limited access to clean water and edible food. He’s also on a constant suicide watch. His lawyers also previously admitted to reaching out to the POTUS in hopes of a presidential pardon.

Reports of Diddy’s current time in prison suggest he may not be safe there. A friend of the rapper claims that he woke up with a knife to his throat in jail earlier this month.

Diddy was once considered one of the world’s wealthiest musical artists.
