Britney Spears’ conservatorship ended in 2021, and it’s been around four years since she regained complete independence over her choices. Recently, the singer was seen driving erratically in her black BMW in Thousand Oaks, California. Amid all this, the pop star’s family is “terrified” that she is “losing control” over her life, as reported by the Daily Mail. Meanwhile, Rob Shuter also noted that the family has backed away this time and refused to intervene, as they don’t want to “risk another conservatorship scandal.”

Spears was under conservatorship for about 13 years, during which her father, Jamie Spears, controlled her finances and personal life. Her conservatorship officially ended in November 2021. Now, with Spears’ driving video going viral, in which the “Piece of Me” singer is seen swerving into lanes in her BMW, her family has refused to intervene.

An insider told #ShutterScoop, “She’s on her own. No one’s willing to risk another conservatorship scandal. They’re terrified of being blamed again.”

Meanwhile, the 43-year-old singer shared an Instagram post featuring a graphic of Daisy Duck and Minnie Mouse hugging each other. She captioned the post, “If anyone is wondering the lookalike was not me,” followed by nerd and confused emojis. While she didn’t reference the post with the driving video, as per the sources, her denial made many people feel concerned about her.

A source said, “She’s angry, isolated, and surrounded by enablers. The people who used to protect her are gone.”

A family insider noted that the singer has no “safety net this time.” The source added, “No dad, no sister, no one. Everyone’s too scared to get involved.” Meanwhile, an insider from the industry said, “Britney’s driving on fumes — and the world’s just watching.”
