Hugh Jackman wanted to honor his partner, Sutton Foster, by making their red carpet debut as a couple. The Music Man stars have been publicly dating since January this year. The much-in-love pair made a joint appearance at the screening of Song Sung Blue during AFI FEST in Hollywood on October 26.

According to Rob Shuter of Shuter Scoop, this was Jackman’s “personal decision” and not a PR-driven tactic. The source revealed, “Hugh is done hiding. He wanted to make a statement: Sutton is his person.”

Furthermore, the source shed more light on Jackman and Sutton’s red carpet debut at The Music Man premiere. One witness commented, “They looked euphoric at the premiere. You could feel the relief — Hugh’s finally free.”

According to more inside sources, Jackman insisted his team include his girlfriend in the official event photos. The source stated, “He wanted to make it official, no games. After everything he’s been through, this was his moment to live out loud.”

The Wolverine star’s close friends are elated for him. An anonymous close friend told Shuter Scoop, “He’s happier than we’ve seen him in years. This isn’t Hollywood — this is heart.”

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have been publicly dating since January this year. The couple was spotted indulging in PDA during a dinner outing in Santa Monica. Notably, the pair had been friends for a long time and even worked together on the Broadway musical The Music Man.

In a June 2022 interview with Vogue, Sutton gushed about working with Jackman on The Music Man. She confessed, “He has an impeccable reputation of being the hardest working man, incredibly kind, and generous — and all of that is true. He’s now become one of my best friends, which was a surprise, because you usually go into these things thinking, “Well, I hope we get along.”

Jackman and Sutton made a stylish, color-coordinated joint appearance at the premiere of Song Sung Blue, co-starring alongside Kate Hudson. The Logan star donned a chic black suit, while Sutton modeled a gorgeous black slip dress.
