IShowSpeed Beats Leonardo DiCaprio IMDB’s Top Celeb List

YouTube star Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. is breaking the internet again. This time, it’s not for one of his livestream moments. The streamer, famous for his over-the-top energy and viral antics, just beat out Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio on IMDb’s list of top trending stars. The weekly ranking, which shifts based on user searches, now has Speed sitting higher than some of Hollywood’s biggest names.

IShowSpeed enters IMDB’s top 5 celeb list

According to IMDb’s STARmeter, which tracks how often people are searched online, IShowSpeed shot up the charts this week after a wave of viral moments.

From collaborating with soccer stars like Ronaldo and A-list streamers like Kai Cenat, the creator’s buzz has been nonstop. His spike in searches even pushed him past Leonardo DiCaprio, the Hollywood legend and Oscar winner for the 2015 film, The Revenant.

However, Speed is currently ranked behind McKenna Grace, Rebecca Ferguson, and Sons of Anarchy alum Charlie Hunnam.

Fans were pretty stunned to see Speed pop up that high on IMDb, given that it is a site usually meant for movie and TV stars. The 20-year-old doesn’t have a long list of acting credits outside his own YouTube content.

On the other hand, it kind of makes sense. Speed has over 45 million subscribers and somehow always finds a way to stay in the headlines. Just a few days ago, he went viral again after posting a clip of himself dragging a car.

Not long before that, he collaborated with Ashton Hall, the influencer who blew up online for his over-the-top morning routine that kicked off a new meme and TikTok trend.

On top of that, according to Dexerto, Speed’s Early Stream has gotten a perfect 10-star rating on IMDb, making it the highest-rated piece of content on the platform. It even outscored TV giants like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Sopranos, and Game of Thrones.
