Wondering where Prince Harry stands on the alleged feud between Taylor Swift and Charli XCX? Well, wonder no more. The royal seemingly has no idea there’s any “beef” going on between the pair, as he appeared completely confused when asked about it on a podcast this week.
Prince Harry seemed shocked by the Taylor Swift and Charli XCX ‘beef’
Making a surprise appearance on the Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know podcast this week, the Duke of Sussex was quizzed about the rumored rift between Taylor and Charli.
“This one’s heavy, Harry. What do you think of this Taylor Swift, Charli XCX beef?” comedian Hasan asked at the start of the podcast. “The what?” Harry replied, before glancing around the room in total confusion. “Oh no,” he went on, raising his eyebrows and then laughing nervously.
“No, this is serious,” Hasan continued, ignoring Harry’s evident bewilderment. “Cause was Charli’s diss track even a diss track? I mean, to me, Sympathy is a Knife was about something completely different, but then Taylor comes back, and I think escalates it, with the Actually Romantic thing.”
Hasan went on: “I’m kind of thinking to myself, ‘Is this fair?’ Or did Charli draw blood, and Taylor had to respond?”
The Duke, still none the wiser, then goes to speak, before Hasan interrupted. “Sometimes I think, where do we go from here, you know?” the comedian asked. “Well,” Harry said with a nervous laugh.
In the comments section on the YouTube post, fans couldn’t get enough of the hilarious interaction. “I can’t stop laughing,” one fan said. “Harry is genuinely confused on the Charli XCX and Taylor question.”
“I don’t blame him cause I’m also confused,” someone else commented. As a third pointed out Harry’s awkward “side look and sniffle”.
It’s no wonder that Harry has no time to keep up with pop culture tea right now.
