Billie Eilish had a strong but humorous message for billionaires who attended the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards on Wednesday, October 29. Holding her award in hand, the “Bad Guy” singer remarked, “Love you all, but there’s a few people in here who have a lot more money than me.”

Continuing further, she said, “If you are a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? No hate, but, yeah. Give your money away, shorties. Love you guys. Thank you so much.” The singer walked away as the audience clapped and cheered for her.

The Instagram post shared by WSJ Mag’s official account has garnered 60.3K likes, 1,089 comments, 3,495 retweets, and 9,297 shares. Fans have showered praise on Eilish for her clarity of thought, outspokenness, and empathy.

One user commented, “That actually is courageous to say at Wall Street Journal. She is very socially conscious and another thing to admire about her.”

Another user wrote, “We made the right person famous,” accompanied by clapping hands emoji. A third fan penned, “This makes me love her even more.” Finally, a fan shared, “The people’s princess.”

Talk show host Stephen Colbert announced that Eilish will be donating a whopping $11.5 million from her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour. The money will be donated to organizations working on combating climate change, supporting climate justice, food equity, and reducing carbon footprints.

Notably, the Hit Me Hard and Soft tour began on September 24 in Quebec City and is arguably her most successful tour to date. Not only were the concerts fun and enjoyable, but they were also environmentally conscious.

The “Birds of a Feather” hitmaker partnered with Reverb to create tiny eco villages within the concert venue. At the concert, fans were educated about carbon emissions and how to reduce one’s carbon footprint.

Furthermore, Billie Eilish banned meat and dairy products at her London concert, and concert-goers were served only vegan food and drink options. (via Where is the Buzz).
