Lily Allen is single and ready to mingle. The singer is the talk of the town thanks to her brutal breakup album, but it seems she’s ready to move on. In a recent interview, she revealed that she’s back on the apps looking for love – but it’s not exactly going well.
Lily Allen is dating again, but got kicked off Hinge
We all know that dating apps can be a cesspit, and it seems it’s not much easier for celebs. Lily Allen may have met ex David Harbour on Hinge, but she isn’t having much luck this time around.
Speaking to Interview, she revealed she’s having a hard time comparing potential matches to her ex. She said of apps: “They’re awful, especially if you’re going through heartbreak. There is nothing more depressing than hundreds of people that are nothing like the person that you’re missing. It’s just like, ‘No, that’s not him. That’s not him. That’s not him’.”
The Smile singer also revealed she was kicked off Hinge as a possible impersonator. She explained: “I’m like, ‘I can prove that I’m that person.’ They’re like, ‘You’ll need to send us your ID.’ And I’m like, ‘Actually my name and the name on my ID aren’t the same’.”
Lily also said she’s back on Raya, but she’s doing things differently this time. She told the publication she’s no longer interested in dating anyone famous.
The singer has been in the headlines since her new album West End Girl dropped last week. In it, she seemingly accuses David of breaking the rules around their open marriage. She has since insisted it’s not about revenge.
Meanwhile, Lily shared her thoughts on dealing with heartbreak. She said: “I think it’s just getting out and socializing. I’m guilty of putting all of it on one person when I’m in a relationship. So when that person leaves, I feel completely bereft and it takes me a while to be like, ‘Actually, I can rely on friends for some of this stuff as well.’”
