Things aren’t exactly going great for Prince Andrew. The disgraced royal is giving up his royal titles and leaving his 30-room home amid the ongoing Epstein scandal. While it seems his isolation from the royal family was inevitable, an insider says many people are enjoying the former Duke’s downfall.
King Charles will “look after” Prince Andrew “in some respect,” claims source
Andrew has apparently made no shortage of enemies thanks to his alleged rude behavior and entitled attitude. The royal outcast is having to leave the Crown-owned Royal Lodge, along with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
A source told Page Six: “Andrew realizes he has to leave. The hounds are at bay — and the hounds are quite powerful these days.”
It won’t be a complete ousting from the family, though. The insider revealed: “The King knows he has to look after Andrew in some respect.” Andrew is said to be “demanding” a move to Frogmore Cottage, the 10-bedroom house Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lived in.
The royal insider also claimed that, for a lot of people, the Prince’s downfall is very welcome. They said: “There’s no doubt that Andrew has been rude and insensitive over the years, and there are a lot of people now getting their revenge.”
The claim comes amid allegations that Andrew “bullied” royal staff and forced them to bow to him.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Andrew’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, might also be drawn into the fallout from his ongoing scandal. Sources claimed Prince William had threatened to move the women’s princess titles if they didn’t help convince Andrew to leave Royal Lodge.
But the source denies this: “I have never heard such nonsense. Anyone who knows William knows he is not that venomous and is fond of his cousins.”
