The royal family is taking swift action against the former Prince Andrew.
Earlier this month, the disgraced brother of King Charles decided to remove the Duke of York from his list of titles. Andrew will no longer be known as a Prince, an announcement Buckingham Palace made official on Thursday.
The second son of the late Queen Elizabeth II has been embroiled in controversy of late for his affiliation with the late disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The posthumous release of Virginia Giuffre’s memoir Nobody’s Girl further tarnished his reputation.
In the book, she alleged having sex with Andrew on Jeffrey’s island and also claimed that he believed it was his birthright.
Prince Andrew is to lose all titles and be kicked out of his royal residence

Andrew is losing more than just that title. The BBC reports that the former royal will also be evicted from the Royal Lodge. He’d been living there tax-free for years after spending millions of dollars on renovations. There had been talks that he would voluntarily move out, but that is no longer an option.
In a statement released by Buckingham Palace, they say that, “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.” They add that formal notice has been served for him to surrender the lease on the Royal Lodge and find other private accommodations. In conclusion, the statement expresses their utmost sympathies for victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.
Reports indicate that Andrew will soon be living on a private estate property in Sandringham, Norfolk. The King had been under increasing pressure to take action against his brother.
Despite their father losing his royal titles, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, his two daughters, will retain theirs. Andrew reportedly did not object to the King’s decision.
