We may not have seen the last of Roseanne Barr on television.
The Roseanne revival was cancelled in 2018 after the comedian responded to a tweet about Valerie Jarrett, a senior advisor to former U.S. President Barack Obama. Her tweet about her ethnicity was seen as racist by some, and the Roseanne revival went off the air as a result. This news comes weeks after Jimmy Kimmel was reinstated by ABC after controversial comments about the Charlie Kirk shooting death.
It appears as though another Roseanne comeback may be in the works, with an insider revealing, “She’s fielding offers.” Over the past few years the comedian has done some specials, but nothing on the mainstream level like Roseanne. She previously won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on that show.
Is Roseanne Barr set to make a TV return?

For years, Roseanne has been very outspoken about numerous celebrities and never shied away from speaking out on political issues. Her blunt tell it like it is approach is apparently an appealing trait for some Hollywood executives.
“They think Roseanne is the perfect personality for a shifting TV audience,” a source told RadarOnline. Last month, the comedian spoke out against ABC for what she deemed was a double standard regarding some of its stars like Jimmy and Whoopi Goldberg, both of whom made controversial political comments in the past.
The Roseanne revival was the highest-rated ABC show before its cancelation. Not long after that, her character was killed off when The Conners was created.
Reports suggest that the time is right for Roseanne to return to TV. Sources say the comedian believes that coming back now would be the sweetest revenge.
Since 2023, she has hosted The Roseanne Barr podcast. She got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1992.
