Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce recently revealed one of the most unexpected achievements of his life. Fans did not see this coming, as Kelce revealed a small detail about his past education during an episode of his podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce. Let’s take a look at which popular subject the Chiefs’ tight end holds a minor in.
Travis Kelce reveals he has a minor in psychology
On episode 162 of the New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, Travis revealed he holds a minor in psychology. This unexpected revelation came after the duo were talking about freestyle rapping towards the end of the episode. As Jason attempted to explain the science behind freestyling, Travis mentioned how good former NFL safety Eric Berry is at the art form. Trying to narrate a story about Berry, Travis said, “I’m telling you, it was one of the most impressive things ever.”
Travis began sharing how, on the plane, Berry would just start freestyling about people’s shoes and outfits. However, he was quickly interrupted by Jason. “Yeah, but he’s already preplanned these bits, Travis,” said Jason. “I’m telling you, I understand how the human brain works,” he added.
Responding to this statement by his brother, Travis went on to reveal, “Listen, I’m the psych minor alright? I had a minor in psych.” Upon hearing this, Jason laughs in disbelief and contradicts Travis’ claim. Soon, the former Philadelphia Eagles center questions Travis about the id, ego, and superego, which is a Freudian theory in psychology. Travis begins to answer Jason’s question, saying, “The id is the… I don’t f*cking know.” Jason bursts out in laughter and then tries to explain it to Travis, after which he soon remembers what exactly Jason was talking about.
Additionally, never short on achievements, Travis Kelce recently tied the record for most regular-season touchdown receptions in Chiefs history, matching Priest Holmes. He is now looking forward to surpassing the record with his 84th touchdown as the Kansas City Chiefs continue to be a phenomenon in the NFL.
