Diddy will be working to clean more than just his public image for a while.
The rapper is being put to work in prison as he serves out his sex trafficking conviction handed down in early October.
The mogul was transferred to the Fort Dix jail in New Jersey on Thursday. He had previously been serving time at the MDC facility in Brooklyn.
His lawyers petitioned for him to be moved to a minimum-security prison for the remainder of his time behind bars. Diddy’s new job could be a massive shock to his system.
Diddy has found himself a job doing laundry in prison

For years, the musician born Sean Combs had numerous people close to him select his elaborate wardrobes. In prison, he’ll be the one trying to make clothes look shiny and new.
TMZ reports that his first job in prison will be in the laundry room, washing and drying dirty clothes. That may not be as simple a task as one might think for someone who lived a life of luxury for years.
During his criminal trial, federal prosecutors claimed the rapper couldn’t even charge his own phone or fetch a bottle of water. He reportedly had an army of assistants doing those seemingly straightforward tasks for him. Daily routines are one of the many things he’ll have to get used to in the coming years. Federal prison regulations require inmates to participate in work assignments unless they have medical restrictions or other qualifying exemptions.
Diddy is scheduled for release on May 8, 2028, though that may not be set in stone. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, believes his client will be out of jail before that date.
Diddy was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment in early October, with 12 months already served, counting towards that sentence. When he’s out, he’ll be under supervision for five years.
In August, his lawyers requested a presidential pardon from US President Donald Trump.
