King Charles and advisors moved to strip Prince Andrew of Royal title without pressure, per source

The decision to strip Andrew of his Royal Title was entirely in the hands of King Charles, as per sources. As per Daily Mail, the Prince and Princess of Wales were reportedly in support of Charles’ decision to strip Andrew of his Royal title. In fact, on Thursday, it was announced that he will now be referred to as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

The Palace said, ” His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.” The further statement was, “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.”

Furthermore, the Royal Palace also mentioned that Andrew will now have to “move to alternative private accommodation.” Earlier, it was reported that the former Duke of York had demanded two separate residences for himself and his ex-wife, Ferguson.

The decision to strip Andrew of his title was up to the King, sources told the publication house mentioned above. It was further reported that there was no pressure from the Government or any other member of the British royal family.

A source said, “The process has been underway for some while, but there was a need to get it right in the face of some very big challenges.”

While Andrew is no longer a Prince, sources say that Charles is very much dedicated to “protect” his nieces, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The daughters of Andrew and Ferguson will reportedly retain their Royal titles.
