Prince Andrew has recently been stripped of the “prince” title and asked to vacate the royal residence for a private accommodation. Although the younger son of Queen Elizabeth II did not object to the decision, sources now say Prince Andrew always hoped to take the throne in place of his older brother, King Charles.

King Charles made one of the toughest decisions to strip his younger brother, Prince Andrew, of his titles. However, sources now tell that Andrew has always held resentment toward the monarch. He, in fact, hoped to take the throne in place of Charles.
Additionally, it has been revealed that Prince William held a grudge against Andrew. It was reportedly over the latter’s belting comment on the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton.
British royals expert Hilary Fordwich claimed to Fox News Digital that the “feud between Prince William and Prince Andrew started primarily due to Andrew’s jealousy and resulting disparaging remarks regarding Kate Middleton.”
Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner agreed to this. To him, “all senior members of the royal family hate being overshadowed by new, young upstarts, in their eyes.” He further revealed that Andrew “always wanted more adulation for his two daughters.” However, when Middleton joined the royal family, “it was like a red flag to a bull.”
Turner also claimed that “Andrew always thought he should be king rather than Charles,” adding that there “always been a festering envy for many years.” That is why the expert believes, “William is now taking a very strong line against Andrew.”
Andrew’s alleged mistreatment of the Princess of Wales was previously described by royal biographer Andrew Lownie in his book, “Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.”
In the book, he wrote as per his source, “Andrew was rude to Kate. And I think he was probably rude because he’s a real snob. He may have felt that Kate wasn’t aristocratic enough to marry William.”
However, the author mentioned that the mom of three has “been the savior of the royal family. Andrew gets jealous of people. He may even be jealous of William’s popularity.”
