Travis Kelce Considering Exiting This Struggling F1 Team — Report

With Alpine struggling to make its mark in F1 this year, several high-profile investors of the team, including Travis Kelce, are reportedly eyeing parting ways with the team. Recent speculations suggest that the investment group, which includes a plethora of known personalities aside from the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, is currently looking to put up its stake in Alpine on the market.

Reports claim Travis Kelce is considering to exit Alpine F1

Otro Capital, the private investment firm responsible for facilitating the purchase of Alpine shares to a group of high-value individuals, including Travis Kelce, has already initiated “preliminary discussions about selling its stake.”

As reported by Sports Business Journal, the aforementioned group of investors features multiple legends of the sports and entertainment industries. This includes NFL veterans Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, boxing superstar Anthony Joshua, golf icon Rory McIlroy, new Real Madrid signing Trent Alexander-Arnold, former Manchester United and Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata, and more.

The outlet’s update suggests that Otro Capital is already in talks to auction its stake in Alpine, which it purchased in 2023. Part of a consortium that materialized the 24% acquisition of the Formula 1 team, the investment firm shelled out $218 million to complete the deal, valuing Alpine at approximately $900 million.

Considering the rate at which the popularity of F1 has skyrocketed in recent times, particularly due to the organization’s collaboration with Netflix over the Drive to Survive docuseries and the Brad Pitt-led F1 movie, Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and other names attached to Otro Capital are expected to rake in a significant amount of profit.

Rumors of investors putting their stake in Alpine up for sale come in the wake of the Enstone-based team’s abysmal on-track results this term. At the time of writing, the team sits at the bottom of the F1 Constructors table, having acquired a measly 20 points in their 2025 campaign so far.
