Travis Kelce’s old Halloween photos resurface
Travis Kelce dressed as Mario Bros. character Luigi for his high school Halloween costume contest in 2005. X (formerly Twitter) account @cowboylikedanii, shared a throwback photo of a young Kelce posing with a classmate named Bianca.
The NFL star wore Luigi’s iconic dungarees over a full-sleeve green sweater. He completed the look with a cap and a huge faux mustache. He looks solemn posing next to Bianca. Notably, she won the contest as well for dressing up as civil rights activist Rosa Parks.
The image features a caption beneath it which reads, “Sophomores Travis Kelce and Bianca Vann were the winners of the costume contest at the 2005 Halloween festival, Oct. 31.” The caption continues, “Kelce was dressed as Luigi, a video game plumber, while Vann dressed as Rosa Parks. The festival was put on by the REAL School and by the Class of 2008 class council.”
Fans had humorous reactions to Kelce dressing as the iconic Mario Bros. character. One fan wrote, “I know he had a crazy Luigi voice to go with that costume, and I need to hear it now.” Another fan commented, “Something about explaining it as ‘video game plumber’… v funny.”
Additionally, the New Heights podcast’s official X account shared a clip where the brothers discussed their childhood Halloween costumes. In one of the pictures, Jason and Travis Kelce dressed as Mario and Luigi, respectively.
In the picture, Jason striked a funny pose, while Travis was simply standing in his Luigi costume. Jason remarked, “You can see one brother is way more into it than the other brother.”
To which Travis quipped, “Yeah, well, one brother got forced to be Luigi,” making Jason laugh. “You look great, dude,” Jason complimented, to which Travis responded, “Dude, you are crushing it.”
