IShowSpeed’s ‘Black Flash’ Gets ‘Smoked’ by Kid in Race

IShowSpeed might’ve taken down the “Ridiculous Morning Routine” fame, Ashton Hall, but this Halloween, the YouTuber met his match, and it came in the form of a kid.

The clip blew up online, not just because of Speed’s over-the-top antics, but because fans couldn’t believe one of the most athletic streamers got “smoked” by a kid. Speed was dressed up as Black Flash, one of the most powerful speedsters in the DC universe.

On Halloween night 2025, streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr., widely known as IShowSpeed, sent the internet into meltdown after showing up dressed as Black Flash, the speed demon from DC Comics. What started as a chaotic trick-or-treat livestream quickly turned into one of the most viral Halloween moments of the year.

Speed’s Black Flash costume was insanely detailed with a black suit traced with glowing red lightning bolts, plus bone-like markings across his chest and face. The sharp, padded shoulders made the costume more villainous.

After suiting up, Speed took to the streets, challenging random people to race him between trick-or-treat stops. He defeated a few people easily, but things got hilarious when he went up against a kid.

Instead of going full throttle, Speed purposely slowed down and let the kid take the win. The little champ teased Speed, saying, “Maybe you’re not so fast.” The clip instantly went viral, not just because it was funny, but because it showed Speed’s wholesome side.

Fans also matched the energy of the viral clip, flooding the comments with jokes and praise. One user said that the streamer “trained all year just to get smoked by a 9-year-old,” while others gave him props for letting the kid win.

Another user wrote, “W for deliberately losing to the kid. A lot of bragging in school,” Speed also faced off against two little girls, who hilariously brought him to his knees.

One fan wrote, “He let the kid win. He’s so kindhearted, but he’s always in character. Whenever I’m feeling down, I rewatch his Kylie Jenner lip challenge video.”
