It looks like Mary Bonnet has chosen a side in the Chrishell Stause and Emma Hernan feud. As a reminder, the Selling Sunset stars have been on the outs after Chrishell publicly called out Emma’s on-again, off-again boyfriend, Blake Davis. Chrishell isn’t a fan of him, but Mary thinks she should be, just for Emma’s sake.
Mary Bonnet doesn’t think Chrishell Stause should “desert a friend”
In Season 9 of Selling Sunset, cameras followed the fracture in the friendship between Chrishell and Emma. As Emma contemplated her future with Blake, Chrishell made it clear that she didn’t think Blake was a good fit. Then, things escalated when Chrishell slammed him on Instagram. She said that her friendship with Emma suffered because of Blake’s problematic behavior.
“Ask her about her MAGA boyfriend who told me pronouns are dumb and that he likes to use the N word,” Chrishell wrote on Instagram. “I just can’t with that. Too old to allow that in. But love her from afar.”
Emma and Blake broke up during Season 9, but they’ve since rekindled their romance. Now, in a conversation with Us Weekly, Mary criticized Chrishell for not being more sympathetic to what Emma was going through in her relationship.
“In my opinion, I think as a friend, if you have somebody going through something like that, you need to be there for them and be the safe space,” Mary said. “You don’t desert a friend in their time of need, and you definitely don’t try to humiliate them by going public and telling all their secrets.”
According to Mary, Chrishell publicly calling out Blake felt “uncalled for and very cruel.” She couldn’t comprehend why Chrishell felt the need to call him out on his alleged bigotry. It’s a weird hill to die on, but Mary is at the top of it.
“I asked her why because I don’t get it,” Mary continued. “I’ve always loved Chrishell, and I just don’t understand the reasoning for that. But people do things for different reasons.”
