Bravo hasn’t officially announced Next Gen LA, but rumors have been flying around for months that they’re looking to replicate the success of Next Gen NYC. Several names have been attached to the series, including Dance Moms alum Nia Sioux.
As much as we’d love to see Nia back on our screens, she just skirted around the rumor that she’s going to be a part of the show. According to her, she has no clue how the speculation even started.
But, that doesn’t mean the door is closed…
Nia Sioux has “no idea” where the Next Gen LA cast rumor came from
The Dance Moms alum is currently doing a press run to promote her memoir, Bottom of the Pyramid. When speaking to Page Six about the book, they asked her about those Next Gen LA rumors. Initially, Nia laughed them off.
“I don’t know where this rumor started, if I’m being honest,” Nia explained. “People started posting about this, and I was very confused.”
Despite Nia getting her start on reality TV, she told the outlet that she’s not actually a big reality TV viewer. She didn’t know about Next Gen NYC or the rumors that Bravo could be launching a West Coast companion series.
“I didn’t understand what it was at first,” she admitted.
Other rumored names for the spinoff include the kids of Real Housewives like Kyle Richards, Cynthia Bailey, and Larsa Pippen. It could be a cast of heavy hitters, and although Nia didn’t initially understand what any of this meant, she didn’t fully rule out the idea of joining the cast.
“You never know, though,” Nia teased. “I sometimes do random things.”
Next Gen NYC is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland, while we wait to see if Next Gen LA becomes a reality.
