Andrew Mountbatten Windsor Could ‘Auction’ Family Heirlooms After Downfall — Source

With his royal titles stripped and banishment from his home, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is allegedly considering extreme measures to raise cash. The former prince is supposedly pondering pawning the few family treasures still in his possession, a source reports.

King Charles III recently removed the titles of Dukedom of York from the Peerage Roll, and the Title of Prince and Style of Royal Highness from his younger brother. The continued controversy surrounding Andrew’s association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein prompted this decision.

Andrew possesses “a trove of jewels and trinkets that are rightfully his, or so he claims,” according to a National Examiner source. These items are reportedly worth many millions at auction. The former royal will “fight” to keep the paintings and furnishings in his current home, Royal Lodge, when he departs, the source claims.

The disgraced former prince has minimal income, the Examiner source states, so he is looking to cash in what he can.

Andrew possesses letters from his parents, intimate and historical photos and many personal home videos and other mementoes. These “would be any collector’s dream and fetch an absolute fortune if he goes this route,” the Examiner source reports. Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, also reportedly has valuable memorabilia from their wedding, along with intimate correspondence from Princess Diana.

The Examiner source adds, “It’ll be an unprecedented nightmare for the royals. They knew getting rid of Andrew was bound to be messy, but this would be the equivalent of him pressing the nuclear button.”

Andrew’s late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, stripped him of his patronages and military associations in 2022. This occurred after the settlement of a sex abuse lawsuit filed against him by Virginia Giuffre. She died by suicide earlier this year.
