Justin Baldoni Attorney Warns Blake Lively Legal Battle Isn’t Over Despite Dismissal

Things aren’t over between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, if his attorney’s latest comments are anything to go by. The lawyer’s warning comes just days after a judge dismissed Justin’s multi-million dollar defamation and extortion countersuit against Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

Speaking to Page Six, attorney Bryan Freedman said that Justin and his Wayfarer Studios team intentionally opted not to file an amended complaint.

“No deadlines were missed,” Bryan told the publication. “Our clients chose not to amend their complaint to preserve appeal rights.” That being said, the attorney did not reveal whether Baldoni or Waferer Studios intend to file an appeal.

“In the meantime, we are focusing on Ms Lively’s claims,” Bryan added. “[We] remain fully committed to pursuing the truth through every legal and factual avenue available.”

With that in mind, Bryan emphasized that they “look forward to [their] day in court.”

To recap, last week, the judge overseeing Justin and Blake’s case entered a final judgment. It stated that Justin and his co-plaintiffs had declined to file an amended complaint in their countersuit against Blake and Ryan. US District Court Judge Lewis Liman said he had contacted all parties previously to warn them of the final judgment.

The judge noted that Blake was the only one to respond to his contact. He said the actor asked for her request for legal fees to remain active, which he granted.

Blake and Justin have been at odds since filming the hit movie It Ends With Us, an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel of the same name. Justin has denied all of the allegations made against him by Blake, and the case is set to be tried in March 2026.
