King Charles is parting with an old art piece which previously had sentimental value for him.
He’s selling a painting which he made in one of the final years of his marriage to the late Princess Diana. Perhaps the former Prince no longer wants to live with that memory, as there were plenty of tensions during their marriage that were widely publicized.
The couple officially divorced in 1996. About a year after that, Diana died in a tragic car accident in Paris. The King married Camilla Parker Bowles in 2005.

Getting rid of a painful reminder can help cleanse the soul, and for Charles, it may also put more money in his pocket. His lithograph, called Highgrove House – A View from the Wildflower Meadow, is available for pre-order at the Highgrove Shop online.
It’s currently priced at £2,905.00, which converts to around $3,882. It’s a limited-edition artwork. Charles made the watercolor painting in 1995. The print is a part of an exclusive series of 100 lithographs signed by the sovereign.
The piece itself provides people with an inside look at Charles’s private life at Highgrove. It’s a property that the then-Prince purchased in 1980 as a private retreat. It’s a renowned destination today. Highgrove was a salvation for Charles, providing a way to escape the spotlight after the negative publicity he received in the latter years of his marriage to Diana. Charles and Diana’s marriage was dubbed the wedding of the century in 1981.
The King has bigger problems to deal with at the moment than a painting, in particular, his health. In August, an insider said that Charles is fighting a “losing battle” against cancer.
The gardens at Highgrove House have been open to the public since 1996.
