Cristiano Ronaldo has a lot of admiration for Donald Trump.
The Portuguese football star believes he and the US President also have something in common. Given the kind of power the President has, Cristiano thinks he’s a key person when it comes to achieving the ultimate goal of world peace. “He’s one of the guys that can change – or help to change – the world,” said Cristiano.
While he didn’t endorse any specific political agendas, peace appears to be at the very top of his list.
Cristiano Ronaldo hopes to meet President Donald Trump

Cristiano is confident that he and the President will hit it off. Appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored, the Al-Nassr superstar said, “I wish one day to meet him (and) sit with him because he’s one of the (people) that I really like.” He adds that if he gets the opportunity, he has something the two share.
Whatever it is that the two have in common, it’s apparently something personal between Cristiano and Donald, with the footballer refusing to share what it is. Piers pointed out how Donald’s son, Barron, was a fan of Cristiano’s. The record international men’s goalscorer said Barron is welcome to join a meeting between Cristiano and Donald.
Although he has some admiration for the President, Cristiano says that he’s more famous than Donald. He believes that today, no one in the world is more well-known than him. He adds that his fame is rather boring and at times too much.
Cristiano said he would soon retire, but didn’t specify exactly when. Throughout his illustrious career as a player, the man nicknamed CR7 has captured five Ballon d’Or titles as the best footballer in the world. He’s also captured five UEFA Champions League trophies. He also has the most goals and assists in the history of that competition.
One trophy which has eluded him is the FIFA World Cup. The next World Cup takes place in the summer of 2026 in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Ronaldo will hope to appear in his sixth World Cup next year.
